Bon appétit! Last week during class, 6th-grade FACS students at Grain Valley North Middle School created the perfect deep-dish personal pizza. Students worked together to measure ingredients and follow the recipe, while safely using cooking equipment. 🍕

Volunteering and Field Trips at Grain Valley Schools
A banner that has an icon with a group of individuals with a heart behind them representing volunteering. Text reads: "Volunteering at Grain Valley Schools."

The end of the school year is right around the corner! Between field trips, field days, and many other exciting events in the schools, we know there is an increased interest in volunteering at schools. In order to keep our students safe, all volunteers must be screened. This is a quick reminder about how the volunteer process works in our district.

Recently, the policy was updated so that volunteer applications will last 2 years, rather than the previous policy, which was 5 years. This change was made as an extra safety precaution for our students. Volunteers must complete the process every two years.

Grain Valley Schools uses Datasource Volunteer Background Application. There is a two-step process to become a volunteer in the district, which can be completed online.  It is important that both steps are completed. Please note that if step two is not completed entirely, the application will not be approved.

If you are interested in volunteering in our schools, please review the instructions for the two step volunteer application.
